Writing a Short Video Script

Learn the basics of creating a short film/video screenplay in one day.

During this workshop we will review story structure, compelling characters and theme. Then we’ll split into groups and write several short screenplays together. When we’re finished we’ll do a table reading of each script and run through the process of story notes, dealing with rewrites, and formatting a script on Final Draft software.

Prerequisites: Participants should have an interest in making a short film, in learning how films are structured story-wise, and a desire to plug into their own creativity.

This is an all-day class: participants should bring a bag lunch or plan on going out. It would be a good idea to bring paper and pen, or laptops.
